In today’s computer driven business world, repetitive injuries such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome are rapidly on the rise, as are Worker’s Compensation claims and premiums. Gone are the days when a Worker’s Comp claim was due to the rare slip & fall accident at work, now the computer work itself is causing injury to employees, and those occupational diseases such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome are costing companies a fortune. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics reports that CTS is responsible for 32.5% of repetitive motion injuries at the workplace, and is responsible for more days away from work than any other nonfatal injury.

Perhaps your company has already tried some preventative measures to prevent Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and other related occupational diseases. They’ve invested in ergonomic chairs, standing desks, wrist guards, special keyboards and computer mice, etc. and seen little to no change in decreasing pain for employees, and claims continue to rise.

The medical treatment for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome can be very expensive and often involves months of therapy, in addition to time off for surgery and doctor appointments.

According to PubMed, in the United States alone, every year there are between 400,000 and 500,000 CTS surgeries, costing companies over $2 billion dollars in claims. Often, the treatment requires immobilization of the hand, wrist, and arm, so when the employee returns, they may not be able to perform well, and will require additional accommodations if they are able to return to work at all.

There is a low-cost solution to reverse Carpal Tunnel Syndrome without surgery, keep employees out of pain, and prevent future cases of occupational diseases to the wrist and hands.

Todd Garrity, L.Ac. has developed a program to get people out of pain and back to work. With in-office visits for larger companies available, your employees don’t even have to travel to his clinic for treatments, he will come to you!
